Soji Day

“Soji” means housekeeping. Taking care of the dojo is part of our training. We have small soji days once a week when we wash the windows and mirrors, sweep the floors, and dust.

Twice a year we have big Soji Days where we do more cleaning and fix things that need small repairs. We actually have a lot of fun and many hands make light work. Kids are very welcome to attend (please bring an adult helper with you).

Karate students are expected to attend at least one of the big Soji Days each year.
