Welcome, Groupon Folks!

Here are some answers to questions you might have if you came here from Groupon’s site.

Who can get a Groupon?
Anyone new to Sun Dragon, age 15 or older. You can also buy a Groupon as a gift for someone else.

You don’t have to be in shape to do karate! As long as you are healthy enough to start and exercise program, we can help you get healthier, stronger, and more flexible.

When can I use my Groupon?
Whenever you’re ready! Just call us first to schedule your first class. There are several classes you can take as a beginning student, however, you must start with an all-beginner class, on Wednesday at 6:30 or Saturday at 12:30. After you’ve had a class or two, you’re welcome to add classes on Monday at 6:30 and Thursday at 8 (half-hour meditation class).

Just make sure you redeem your groupon by Dec. 12.

OK, I’ve signed up for my first class, what happens next?
Please come to your first class 10-15 minutes early so we can get you a uniform. When you enter the dojo (karate school), we ask that you remove your shoes. Someone with a karate belt will explain everything from there!

What is karate all about?
We practice a traditional Japanese form of Karate called Seido. Our style focuses on creating healthy minds and bodies in a supportive community. It’s a fun way to get fit, meet people, and learn some practical safety skills.

Where are you located?
We are in the West Tower Village shopping center at the corner of West Gate Blvd. and South Lamar, just across from the South Central Market.
