Sun Dragon will not hold classes Monday, May 31st in observance of Memorial Day. We will be open on Saturday, May 29th, and will re-open on Tuesday, June 1st. Remember, Juniors classes will go to their summer schedule: Tuesday and Thursday classes for Juniors only will be suspended until September 1. See the full schedule for more information.

Camp is about having fun while developing physical skills and encouraging character development.  We teach Seido Karate, a traditional Japanese style that emphasizes respect, courage, self-control, confidence, and responsibility.  Campers will fill their days with karate, martial arts-related games, art, performance, outdoor play, and more.  All campers should pack a lunch and bring a  water bottle.

Camp is located at the Sun Dragon dojo located near Westgate Blvd. and South Lamar Blvd., across the street from Amy’s Ice Cream and Central Market.  Don’t worry, we’re air-conditioned!  Please be sure to pick up your campers promptly at 1pm.

Friday the 25th is performance time!  Friends and family are invited to arrive at 12:30pm on the last day of camp for a demonstration of what the girls have learned.

Planned activities include:
Seido Karate: good exercise, good values, good fun

Writing Projects: creatively exploring leadership, respect, and cooperation

Meditation: learn to calm and control the mind
Friday Demo: family and friends invited

From June through August, the Tuesday/Thursday junior class at 3:15pm will be suspended for the summer.  Junior classes will still be held from 430-515pm on Mondays and Wednesdays and from 10-1045am on Saturdays.  Tuesday/Thursday junior classes will resume in September.
